Want to vote early in L.A. County? Find the early voting sites here.

If you want to vote early in L.A. County, you have more options than just the registrar’s office in Norwalk — at least on the weekends.

Starting today, the registrar’s office opened five weekend early voting locations throughout Los Angeles County.

All registered voters in L.A. County are eligible to cast ballots at the sites before Election Day on Nov.

2 seriously injured after car strikes tree in Studio City

Two people were injured, including one critically, after a car crashed into a tree in Studio City on Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver, who was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters, was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition, said LAFD spokesman Erik Scott in a media statement.

Man shot dead in Lancaster

LANCASTER >> A man was shot dead Sunday in Lancaster.

The shooting occurred about 2 a.m. in the 45000 block of Andale Avenue, according to Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Jansen said.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting death to call them at (323) 890-5500.

Person hospitalized after car plunges 70 feet off road in Chatsworth

CHATSWORTH >> One person was airlifted to a hospital Saturday after a vehicle plunged 70 feet off the side of a road in unincorporated Chatsworth, injuring two others, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 7:23 p.m. at Woolsey Canyon Road and Valley Circle Boulevard, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas.

Some displaced during Porter Ranch gas leak still waiting for reimbursement

Some residents who were affected by the disastrous natural gas leak at the Aliso Canyon storage facility are still waiting for reimbursements months after temporarily relocating and submitting their expenses to the Southern California Gas Co.

Among them is Paul Hunt, a former Porter Ranch resident who said he is still owed more than $2,500 for meal reimbursements and thousands of dollars more for mileage.

Police probe two shootings in South Los Angeles; 1 dead

LOS ANGELES >> Police are investigating two unrelated shootings in a five-hour period on Saturday in South Los Angeles, including one that proved fatal.

A man about 25 years old was shot just after 4:30 a.m. in the area of Hoover and 90th streets where police found the man unconscious and not breathing, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
