Best development would be a win for Measure S: Guest commentary

Our city is at a crossroads. We have an important measure on the Los Angeles ballot March 7 that will create a new path forward. It will put decision-making back in the hands of L.A. residents, taking it out of the hands of people in power downtown.

It will create transparency on how decisions are made and, importantly, it will stop city leaders from being bought and sold with campaign donations from developers seeking free rein to build what they want where they want.

Endorsement: Vote yes on Measure H, then demand results on homelessness crisis

On the March 7 ballot, Los Angeles County voters have before them Measure H, the Los Angeles County Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness. Placed on the ballot by the Board of Supervisors, the measure calls for a quarter-percent sales tax increase to finance an array of direct services to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
